Exhaust and dust collection systems are serious business. A properly engineered exhaust and dust collection system is essential worker protection infrastructure.
For this project, a client in Mathiston, Mississippi, needed a custom exhaust system to capture and vent fumes. The finished Air Arc & Welding Table Exhaust System pairs a dust collector with 35-plus feet of 12-inch diameter A36 carbon steel duct. We fabricated this system from engineer-stamped drawings and finished the end result with shop primer and industrial enamel for long service life.
Before fabricating the project, Southern Metal Fabricators’ design team walked the client through the full system requirements, including the important decision of whether the application required a vacuum valve. Getting the necessary configuration right upfront is where experience pays off, and it's precisely what saved this client both time and money.
